Status: Planned - Physical redemption and shipping are not currently available.
Redemption converts an eligible vaulted ownership record into a request for the matching physical card. The physical item must remain uniquely identified throughout the process.

Eligibility

A redemption request can begin only when:
  • The card is Vaulted and redemptionEligible is true.
  • The requester controls the matching ownership record.
  • Authentication and custody records remain valid.
  • No listing, transfer, investigation, or previous redemption lock exists.
  • The destination is in a supported region.
  • Required identity, address, and payment checks are complete.

Redemption Flow

  1. Delist - Any active marketplace listing is cancelled first.
  2. Review - Iruka displays the exact card, destination, available service, fee, and handling target.
  3. Confirm - The collector confirms the request and applicable payment.
  4. Lock - The item moves from Vaulted to Redemption locked.
  5. Pick and verify - Operations match the physical item to inventoryId and complete a final condition check.
  6. Ship - Tracking is attached to the redemption record.
  7. Complete - Custody changes to Redeemed after the documented completion condition.
An item must never be listed and redemption-locked at the same time.

Information Kept Offchain

Names, phone numbers, delivery addresses, customs data, and carrier details remain offchain. Public records may show a request reference, state transition, and non-sensitive proof of completion.

Terms Required Before Launch

Iruka will publish supported regions, carriers, handling targets, fees, taxes and duties, packaging standard, tracking, failed-delivery handling, loss or damage procedures, cancellation rules, and customer support contacts before redemption becomes live. The initial operating target is domestic South Korea. International delivery is outside the current scope unless it is added to the published shipping terms.
